Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and for many people, cost is one of the factors they consider. My goal is to make this part of the process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Free 15-Minute Consultation
Choosing a therapist is an important decision. I offer a complimentary 15-minute online consultation. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels like a good fit. We would meet through a video call to provide the best opportunity to experience how we interact. This consultation is an opportunity to get to know one another and is not a therapy session. There is no obligation to book a session afterward.
Individual Therapy Sessions
- 50-minute online therapy session: $60
Sessions are provided online to adults living in Ontario.
Why is the fee $60?
As a therapist in training, I offer a reduced session fee while completing my clinical training and working under professional supervision. This allows me to provide accessible psychotherapy while receiving ongoing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care.
Payment
Payment is required before each scheduled session. Payment can be made through etranfer or paypal. Once your appointment is booked through Jane, you will receive instructions for session access and use of the online meeting system.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to the full session fee. I typical will provide up to 2 cancellations with short notice as life happens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to commit to a certain number of sessions?
No. Therapy is collaborative, and together we can decide what frequency and duration best supports your needs.
Is online therapy effective?
Many people find online therapy to be a comfortable and effective way to engage in meaningful conversations from the privacy of their own home.
Are sessions covered by insurance?
As a therapist in training, my services may not be covered by extended health benefit plans. If insurance coverage is important to you, I encourage you to check with your provider before booking.
Taking the First Step
If you've been thinking about starting therapy but have been unsure where to begin, a free consultation can be a simple place to start. It offers an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and decide whether working together feels right for you.
